Lab Manual:          Historical Geology: Interpretations and Applications

Jon M. Poort and Roseann J. Carlson

Grading:                  Lab Notebook, attendance, and effort      50%

                                    Lab Exams                                                      50%

Students will keep a notebook of all lab exercises.  The notebooks will be turned in for a grade on the day of the lab exams.  They must be neat and complete.  Attendance will be checked. Students with a valid excuse may make up one lab during office hours.  One additional lab may be missed without penalty.  However, students are responsible for all lab material, even on labs that are missed and not made up, and must be able to show proficiency on the lab exams.

I will check to see how you are doing in each lab, but you are responsible for making sure that you understand all of the lab material before you walk out of the classroom.  Ask questions if you don't understand something.  It will probably come up on a lab exam.
