Earth Science at C.W. Post (second half: Essentials of Geology, by Lutgens & Tarbuck)


Course Objectives:
We will study the Earth's surface landforms and the geologic processes that shape them.

Cell Phones, Pagers, iPods, MP3 players: All cellular phones and pagers must be turned off before entering the classroom.  Anyone text-messaging or wearing earbuds/earphones in class will be considered absent for the day.  Anyone text-messaging or wearing earbuds/earphones during an exam will be assigned an automatic zero grade for the exam.

Attendance and class participation will be noted and may affect your grade (for better or worse).

Exams and Quizzes: Several short quizzes will be given online in WebCT.  Each will be available for one week.  The lowest quiz grade will be dropped.  Exams may only be made up with a doctor's note.  Makeup exams will be all essay.
