ABOUT DR. COMUNALE
Dr.
Teaching: Dr. Comunale teaches Principles of Financial Accounting,
Principles of Managerial Accounting, External Reporting I and II, and Corporate
Financial Reporting. In 2005, Dr. Comunale received the David Newton Award for
Excellence in Teaching, the University’s highest honor for teaching. In 2004,
she received the Beta Gamma Sigma Professor of the Year Award.
Research:
Dr. Comunale is an award-winning researcher in the areas of audit judgment and
decision making and the efficiency and effectiveness of the audit process. She
has presented her research at American Accounting Association meetings and has published in numerous peer-reviewed
journals including: Advances in
Accounting Behavioral Research, Journal
of Emerging Technologies in
Accounting, The CPA Journal, Internal Auditing, Managerial Auditing Journal, Communications of the Association for
Computing Machinery, The
