The MAA online journal, Convergence, has a new article on using mathematical poetry in the mathematics classroom.
In "The Enigmatic Number e: A History inVerse and Its Uses in the Mathematics Classroom,” Sarah Glaz of the University of Connecticut presents her poem, “The Enigmatic Number e,” and discusses how she has used it in class. She also discusses and references her own and others’ experiences using other poems in class.

You might also enjoy the articles, “Teaching Leonardo: An Integrated Approach” “Teaching Leonardo: An Integrated Approach”
and “Leonardo Da Vinci’s Geometric Sketches”

We encourage you to view the frequently updated article, “Mathematical Treasures”, featuring digital images of mathematical objects and texts from the Columbia University Library: “Mathematical Treasures”
Indices to all 7 annual volumes of Convergence are in “What’s in Convergence?”: “What’s in Convergence?”
