SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION GUIDELINES

C. W. Post Chemistry Scholarships are available to new entering freshmen and transfer students who desire to study Chemistry full-time at the undergraduate level.  Minimal qualifications include a "B" average (3.0 out of a 4.0 G.P.A.) in all previous schoolwork and a SAT composite of 1000 for new freshmen.  Transfers must have 3.0 minimum cumulative G.P.A.  International students must submit a TOEFL score of 525 or higher.  All scholarship recipients must apply and be admitted as a new undergraduate matriculated student for the upcoming academic year at C. W. Post by February 1.

Scholarship participants receive a $2,000 annual award toward tuition, which is renewable each year (with an overall 3.0 G.P.A.) for a maximum total of $8,000 toward the Bachelors degree.  Transfer students are eligible for up to $6,000.  Additional academic and need based scholarships and grants may be available to qualified students.

All scholarship candidates need to complete an application, submitting by the deadline of February 1st prior to the first semester of enrollment into C. W. Post.  Applications can be obtained by contacting the Admissions Office.

Applicants should attach at least one letter of recommendation.  For new freshmen, please attach high school transcript.  For transfer students, please attach a copy of current and all previous college transcripts.

In addition to the above information, preference will be given to students who apply and are accepted for admission by February 1.  Students must complete the regular admissions application process by submitting all records and be admitted to one of the undergraduate academic programs at C. W. Post for the upcoming academic year.  Selected scholarship recipients will also be registered in Chemistry Research (CHM 93, 94) commencing their College Sophomore year at C. W. Post.
