A TYPICAL PROGRAM FOR STUDENTS PURSUING A B.A. DEGREE IN CHEMISTRY



In addition to the University core requirements, students studying for this degree complete the following chemistry courses: Principles of Chemistry (CHM 3, 4), Inorganic Chemistry (CHM 5), Organic Chemistry (CHM 21, 22), Quantitative Analysis (CHM 37) and Physical Chemistry (CHM 55, 56).

Students must choose two selections from Spectroscopic Identification of Organic Compounds (CHM 24), Analytical Instrumentation (CHM 38), Inorganic Chemistry (CHM 48), Basic Biochemistry (CHM 71), Advanced Organic Chemistry (CHM 85) or Senior Research (CHM 98, 99).
